Digital Literacy

28 Dec 2023

Digital literacy is the ability to access, manage, understand, integrate, communicate, evaluate and create information safely and appropriately through digital technologies for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship. It gives you the skill to navigate and roam freely online and using technology whether its at home or at work.

Digital Literacy is important in everyday life, as we use it to do most things in our daily routine, especially at school and work. This is very important, as it enhances skils such as critical thinking, functional, organisational and creativity skills.

On the 28th of November, ThinkYoung held an EBS panel discussion on digital literacy and how these skills can empower the youth. They had 4 amazing speakers, alongside side a moderator, who thoroughly discussed and gave insight into this topic. The following speakers where, Charles Howard, Ruth Plackett, Carla Diletta Chamba as moderator, Molly Hickey, and MEP Cyrus Engerer.
